Happy Easter

This year is going by so fast! I can't believe the first quarter is almost over. Joe turned 55 yesterday, seems hard to believe I have a sibling that old. Even stranger is that John will be 50 this year. Yowzer! I feel a lot younger since I started coloring my hair. I've done it twice now, so I figure I've shaved off at least 5 years. If only wrinkles were as easy to cover up as gray hair.

Had a fun time at Donna and Mark's St. Pat's party last weekend. One more thing to add to the Good Things About Being Unemployed List . . . you can party your ass off on Sunday afternoon and not give a thought to Monday a.m.!  But alas Monday a.m. did arrive, blech. But I didn't have to get up and get dressed, woo hoo! Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I ever gave much thought to Monday a.m. when there was a good party going on . . .

I made Kay's Knock-Out Lasagna for Easter dinner today. We all ate way too much lasagna and it seemingly knocked us out for 2 hours; it was nap time. Even the cats seem extra sleepy today.

I did not get the HR Assistant job at JJC. Go figure, they hired someone with prior HR experience. I will keep pounding the pavement . . . I mean keys of my laptop. Having never been more than 5 minutes away from my job, the thought of commuting  . . . well, let's just say it does not excite me.

Pretty quiet around here, and that is fine with me. Excitement is not all it is cracked up to be. The little sneak peeks of nice weather have me thinking of the garden, veggies and flowers, and looking forward to being outdoors more.

March 9

Mom and Dad's anniversary, married March 9, 1959.

Spring-like weather here. And in Michigan near the lake.

There is John! Weird to be in Michigan by the lake on March 8th, 74 degrees, wishing you had a pair of shorts lol, with huge piles of dirty snow melting in the parking lot.
